Germans declare Triumph is miles better
Triumph has once again come out on top in an annual survey carried out by Germany’s biggest motorcycling magazine. Motorrad, in conjunction with its affiliates in 12 other European countries, surveyed 82,351 readers and asked them to comment on over 200 different aspects on motorcycling.
Triumph topped the most prized category of all – customer satisfaction – with 78% of buyers of new Triumph motorcycles declaring themselves ‘very satisfied’ with their Triumph and 71% of those who purchased used Triumphs giving the same response. Honda was the second best performer in both categories, posting 77% and 58% in each category.
For the second year running, Triumph’s sports touring Sprint ST was the touring bike of choice for Motorrad readers, with the Daytona 675 and Rocket III Classic also showing well. The Daytona 675 was the only supersport class bike to make the top 10 list in the sportbike category, bested only by a number of exotic litre class superbikes. The mighty 2.3 litre Rocket III Classic was voted as the German riding public’s second favourite cruiser, with the new Thunderbird also making the top 10 – despite not even being in production yet!
“Germany is well known for producing touring bikes, so for the Sprint ST to be voted as the best tourer for the second year running is a great honour for Triumph,” said Paul Stroud, Triumph’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “It is also particularly satisfying to achieve such an outstanding result in the customer satisfaction survey and this is testament not only to the quality of our products, but also the exceptional service provided by our dealer network.”
